Zippers won’t stick if you rub them with the edge of a bar of soap.

Mushrooms should be wiped off with a damp cloth and not washed under the faucet since they are like sponges and will absorb the water.

Place a slice of apple in hardened brown sugar to soften it back up.

To clean a Plasma TV, use only a microfiber or 100 % cotton cloth. Try dry dusting first, but if needed, create a damp cloth using water only. If you need a little more power try adding a small amount of vinegar to the water.

When baking brownies, always put the baking pan directly on top of cookie sheet so brownies bake evenly and don’t burn on bottom.

Toilet bowls come up shiny when cleaned with old, flat Coke or Pepsi.  Leave overnight to dissolve limescale.

Store your opened chunks of cheese in aluminum foil. The cheese will stay fresh much longer and not mold!

Briskly scrub rust spots on car bumpers with a piece of crumpled aluminum foil, shiny side up. Also works well on the chrome shafts of golf clubs.

Place balls of newspaper in your microwave to absorb that burned popcorn odor. The bigger the balls the better! Let it sit for a couple hours – DO NOT turn the microwave on!!
